Anya from Trondheim in Norway is educated at The Academy of Art College in San Francisco. Her debut was in 1993 with a solo exhibition in San Francisco, and she has worked on projects for the Royal Norwegian Consul General and the business community in the same city. Anya has exhibited her works in a number of exhibitions in Norway, the USA and Spain. In 1997 she was awarded First Honorary Prize in an international painting competition in Spain. Her studio near Barcelona is her base of inspiration and work in addition to Trondheim.
Anya has completed many commissions for the public authorities in Trondheim, such as a project in connection with the City’s 1000 anniversary celebrations in 1997. From May to September 1999, she decorated a whole block in the centre of Trondheim with the exhibition of paintings "Illusion" of 1300m².
In 2003, Anya was in charge of the decoration of Rica Nidelven Hotel in Trondheim. She decorated BI in 2003, and in 2005 she completed an artistic project for Nova Cinema. This included indoor and outdoor decorations, such as a 1400m² large facade decoration facing Cicignons square. For the reopening of Rica Hell Hotel in the spring of 2006, Anya was in charge of all the decoration.
International oil conference in 2006, the UN world conference in Trondheim in 1999 and 2003, jazz festivals from 1998 to 2000, the speed ice skating world championships in the Hamar Olympic hall in 1996 and a project for LOOC in the USA in 1994 are all commissions where Anya has been in charge of the artistic elements.
Anya will be having solo exhibitions in Spain in July and in Trondheim in autumn 2007. The exhibition in Trondheim opens at the same time as the UN world conference where Anya is charge of the artistic elements.
